No-one should be cold this, or any, winter. However, due to the ongoing energy and cost of living crisis we know that’s not the reality for so many of us this year.
That’s why we’re proud to announce we’ve stepped up to help sponsor the Chesterfield FC Community Trust Warm Hub.
Chesterfield FC Community Trust’s mission is to help shape the future of health and wellbeing in Chesterfield and North Derbyshire, making a difference to the lives of local people. From education initiatives to inclusive activities they work tirelessly to support those in need in their community.
The Trust was one of the first organizations in the UK to develop a Warm Hub, providing a safe space for those in their community who need support this year. Anyone can pop down to the Hub connected to the football stadium and have a warm space to sit, use laundry and bathroom facilities, and have something to eat and drink.
After seeing their efforts on the national news we wanted to help them to help even more of their community. With our help the Warm Hub now has a larger capacity and comfy furniture making it a cosier place to rest.
Our sponsorship also paid for entry to Chester’s Den, the soft play area at the hub, for children in need at the Warm Hub.
Until the energy market stabilises we want to help support Warm Hubs for those in need. Chesterfield FC Community Trust are an amazing example of how the smallest actions can cause ripples of change and we’re proud to be a small part of that change.
