Hello again! We’re back with more self-care tips for students. Here’s how you can look after yourself whilst at university.
Get Those Zzzz
Late nights out are great. Until you have to drag yourself to a 9am the next day. It’s time to practice good sleep hygiene. You can make bleary-eyed lectures a thing of the past by establishing a regular bed time routine. Set a specific time for going to bed and try to unwind without falling down a Netflix rabbit hole!
Learn to Say No
Saying no doesn’t make you a bad person. You can only be in one place at once. Turning down excessive commitments or invites isn’t selfish. It’s an act of self-love. Let go of any expectations and peer pressure. Learning to say no is a way of setting a clear boundary and prioritizing your wellbeing.
Find Nurture in Nature
The best solutions are usually the simplest. Go outside and find some peace and quiet in nature. A lot of university campuses have green spaces where you can go and chill. Or you can try and find a local park or woodland to explore. Let nature nurture your body and mind.
Don’t Forget to Stretch
University involves sitting. A lot of it. Lectures. Seminars. Studying. If you don’t move then you’re going to feel stiff. Stretch regularly to feel energized and ready to tackle anything that comes your way. Why not give Pop Pilates a go?
Unplug and Unwind
We know, we know, this sounds kind of backward. Especially as you’re reading this on an electronic device! But stop scrolling. Switch off. Walk away. Blue light is terrible for your sleep. Ah, we’re back to the importance of those Zzzs again!
We hope you’ve found these self-care tips useful!
